CMOH Order 43-1021 allows NPs to complete the COVID-19 vaccine medical exemption letter. In partnership with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, the CRNA has developed the following resource for the public on COVID-19 vaccine exemption requests.
CMOH Ministerial Order 22-2021 states that starting May 13, anyone wishing to verify that they have a medical condition that makes them unable to wear a mask will require a medical exception letter from a health professional. Nurse practitioners will now be able to verify these exemptions.
