The College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) thanks you for your time and input.
The CRNA requested feedback on 14 amended standards and competencies related to the College’s nursing policies. These amendments included revisions to policy documents to align with the legislative changes required under the Health Statutes Amendment Act, 2020 (Bill 46).
The June 13 deadline has passed, and we would like to thank individuals who took the time to respond. Your feedback is important as it is one of the many mechanisms whereby the CRNA can ensure that we are developing standards and competencies that are easy to understand and serve the public interest by promoting ethical, safe and competent nursing care.
The large volume of nursing documents that we put forward for review is unusual; however, it is part of an overhaul of all existing policy documents. Each standard and guideline document must receive changes.
